ANATOMICAL VASCULAR MODELS

    Veinous model

This venous heart model is an anatomically designed implantation model composed of the left and right atrium with an approx 3mm hole through the septum between both atrials, four pulmonary veins, descending vena cava, renal veins, and the iliac veins.
In light of the significant morbidity and mortality from atrial fibrillation (AF), there has been significant interest in the development of percutaneous catheter ablation procedures for the suppression of AF. Atrial fibrillation is a complex arrhythmia in the mean of irregular and rapid beating of the upper two chambers of the heart (the atria).

As minimally invasive procedures become more and more popular this training silicon heart model has been developed to mimic the treatment of percutaneous catheter ablations of cardiac rhythm diseases for AF. Additionally, the unique design allows a bidirectional approach from the pulmonary veins or from the iliac veins (transfemoral).

Elastrat Sàrl is a worldwide leader in the development, realization and distribution of human anatomical vascular phantoms.

Our Swiss made transparent soft or rigid silicon phantoms reproduce the anatomical vasculature with its pathologies like aneurysms or stenoses and can be trained through navigation with stents, catheters and coils. They provide a realistic environment for the simulation of endovascular procedures, pre-surgery training, studies and teaching purposes for interventionists, such as interventional cardiologists (neuroradiologists, etc.), interventional radiology-cardiologists, and interventional angiologists.

The models promote safety through education and professional competence.
